| | | | | | Dear Dr.
Dneprovoy In coming weeks, Berlin will once again be proving
itself regarding its title as a cultural metropolis. With artists
from all over the world participating in “based in Berlin” and the
DMY, the German capital will be the meeting point for the creative
scene. And something unusual is also awaiting literature lovers:
theater performances in Public Viewing or a reading
nightshift in a grocery store. You can find out where and when
in our current Newsletter. Warm regards from
Berlin!

| How
often do you get to hear the good night story read by
the authors themselves? Now’s your chance: at the 13th
Extended Book Night on May 14 on Oranienstraße. Small
children, teenagers, and adults can immerse themselves
in the world of stories and poetry in very unusual
locations, such as grocery stores or subway stations,
with readings lasting up to midnight.

| Swedish
furniture design has become famous. So this year, the
DMY International Design Festival is placing its focus
on the neighboring country of Finland. In addition, the
latest from the international design scene will be
presented from May 1 to 5 on an exhibition space of
150,000 sq. ft. in the light-flooded hangars of

Berlin – Theater in the Plänterwald
| What
Coney Island is to New York and the Prater is to Vienna
is what the Plänterwald was to Berlin. In what was once
the largest amusement park in Europe, no carousel has
turned for five years now. But from May 26 to 29, the
Theater HAU will be breathing new life into the area
with the “Lunapark Berlin”. On offer will be film
presentations, performances, and tours through the
overgrown park – including cotton candy
