| | Nice Carnival 2011: the results are
in!
The 2011 edition of the Carnival performed
brilliantly both in the number of attendees, up 10% from 2010, and
direct and indirect revenue, estimated at between 30 and 35 million
Euros. 1,800 workers ensured the smooth running of the
festival and 1,400 street artists took part. The event attracted a
large amount of media with 276 press passes given to journalists
from 25 countries. National television and radio covered the event
particularly well. The event website received 23% more visitors than
last year. The Nice Carnival is the biggest winter event in the Côte
d'Azur. It is always extremely successful and each year attracts a
growing number of fans. | | |
