of the Month - Galena Lodge Yurts and Full Moon DinnersMake
the trip to Sun Valley for a Cross Country ski experience with
Galena Lodge. Stay in a yurt and enjoy one of Galena's famous
Full Moon Dinners. Galena Lodge is a rustic day lodge in
the heart of the Boulder Mountains. It is open daily in the winter
and summer seasons operating as home-base for cross-country skiers
in the winter and mountain bikers and hikers in the warmer
months. Overnight lodging is available in semi-backcountry
yurts but be sure to time your visit to include one of
Lodge's fabulous Full Moon Dinners. They
are served mid-month during the three nights of the full
moon cycle. Make new friends at the large family style tables
and enjoy a moonlit ski or snowshoe before or after your
meal. The
three yurts offer spectacular views and easy access to trails and
lodge activities. Each yurt is well furnished with the
necessities to keep you comfy: a wood stove for heat,
propane stove and fuel for cooking, lanterns and fuel, pots, pans,
dishes, silverware, cups and mugs, coffee pots and percolators or
filters, paper towels, toilet paper, newspaper, firewood, matches,
books, games, snow shovels and beds with foam mats. Guests
need to bring a sleeping bag, food and clothing. Yurt
rentals range from $125 to $155 per night. Reservations are
requested for the 4-course Full Moon Dinner. Meal cost is $40/person
not including alcohol, tax or gratuity. Dinner
